Patriarch of All Georgia mourns loss of civilians in eastern Ukraine

Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyv and All Ukraine received a letter of sympathy from Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

He expressed deep sorrow and sympathy to the UOC Primate and the families of those affected by tragic events developing in Ukraine, including the death of civilians near Volnovakha during shelling.

“May the Lord bring the souls of his servants in heavenly abodes and grant mercy and peace in Ukraine", goes the letter, as reported by the Synodal Information Department of the UOC
