Patriarch of the Maronite Church celebrates the liturgy for peace in Ukraine

Diplomats, politicians, Lebanese friends of Ukraine and the Ukrainian community of Lebanon came to pray for Ukraine at the patriarchal residence of Beshar Boutros Rai in Bkerk.

Ukrainian ambassador to Lebanon Ihor Ostash announced this on Facebook on June 23.

"The liturgy for peace in Ukraine was celebrated today by Patriarch Boutros Rai of the Maronite Church of Beshara. His word about Ukraine was also important for us. Ukrainian was also played along with Arabic thanks to Yulia Hnatyuk and Dmytro Reznichenko. The singing of the youngest Marie-Therese and Sophie Mrad was divine. In conclusion, The Patriarch of Paradise received a Ukrainian icon as a gift. Diplomats, politicians, Lebanese friends of Ukraine and the Ukrainian community of Lebanon came to pray for Ukraine at the patriarchal residence in Bkerk," the ambassador wrote.
