23.02.2013, 12:37

The Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Patriarch Sviatoslav has called young people to participate in the creation of a youth catechism.

The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Patriarch Sviatoslav, has called on young people to participate in the creation of a youth catechism, the Information Department of UGCC reported.

In 2011, the UGCC Catechism Christ our Pascha appeared. The church wants every young person to be enriched with the invaluable treasure of the Christian tradition. Therefore, Patriarch Sviatoslav instructed the UGCC Committee on Matters of Youth and Patriarchal Catechetical Committee of UGCC to compile a youth catechism to describe the treasure of the faith of our Eastern Catholic Church for the youth.

The Committee on Matters of Youth of UGCC invites young people to jointly create such a catechism. At the first stage of the work, the DyvenSvit website will publish small fragments of the Catechism of UGCC till the end of March. Young people are invited to read them and answer the questions:

1 What do you fail to understand in this fragment?

2 What sentence or phrase impressed you the most or is especially important for you?

Interested persons are also invited to send quotations helping to understand the published fragments and share their vision of the Catechism thereby contributing to the work.

To contribute, please visit this website.
