Patriarch Sviatoslav Meets with European Deputies in Belgium

Patriarch Sviatoslav, together with Exarch for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in France, Benelux countries and Switzerland Bishop Borys Gudziak and Secretary of Apostolic Nunciature in Belgium and Luxemburg Fr. Andrii Maksymovych met with a group of European deputies.

The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Patriarch Sviatoslav, together with Exarch for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in France, Benelux countries and Switzerland Bishop Borys Gudziak and Secretary of Apostolic Nunciature in Belgium and Luxemburg Fr. Andrii Maksymovych met with a group of European deputies.

According to the UGCC Information Department, the meeting was held on December 6, 2012, in the Brussels office of the European Parliament after the sessions of the Synod of UGCC held in Cheventogne Monastery.

The head of the delegation of the European Parliament on relations with Ukraine, Pavel Koval, with a European deputy, Maria Zaborska, and other members of the Parliament discussed the current social-political situation in Ukraine.
