Patriarch Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) blessed the Patriarchal Cathedral in Kyiv

Sanctification was performed by the ​​head of the UGCC Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), together with members of the Synod of bishops, Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Thomas Edward Gullickson and Roman Catholic bishops.

The relics of the apostles Peter, Paul and Andrew, Popes Clement of Rome and St. Martin, who died on the Ukrainian lands, Saint Josaphat Kuntsevych, and the blessed martyr of the twentieth century Mykola Charnetsky and Josaphat Kotsylovskyj was placed in the four corners and the center of the main altar during the consecration of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ.

Sanctification was performed by the ​​head of the UGCC Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), together with members of the Synod of bishops, Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Thomas Edward Gullickson and Roman Catholic bishops.

The pilgrims from different parts of Ukraine and from Canada, USA, Poland, Argentina, Australia and Kazakhstan took part in celebration.

“Pilgrims came from all over the world: North and South America, Australia and various countries in Western, Northern and Southern Europe, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and from all the corners of our dear Ukraine. I welcome you in your new home as children of God! As this Cathedral will not be only house of prayer for the Father and the Head of the UGCC. First of all, it is God's home, house for all of His children”, said the Patriarch in his address.
