Patriarch Theophilus of Jerusalem Invites Metropolitan Volodymyr To Celebrate Liturgy in Holy Land

The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate met with Patriarch Theophilus ІІІ of Jerusalem on 25 April.

The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate met with Patriarch Theophilus ІІІ of Jerusalem on 25 April. So reported the web site of UOC-MP.

The meeting was also attended by Metropolitan Volodymyr of Pochaiv, Archbishop Antonii of Boryspil, Archbishop Oleksandr of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) and diplomats.

During the meeting, Metropolitan Volodymyr welcomed the guest and asked for Patriarch Theophilus’ blessing and prayers.

In response, the Patriarch of Jerusalem greeted Metropolitan Volodymyr on occasion of the Easter and invited him to celebrate a service in the Holy Land.

“We are always glad to see You in Jerusalem and thereby we show our unity and joint testimony about Christ Crucified and Resurrected,” noted Patriarch Theophilus.
