From September 11 to 25 the pastors of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals) of Ukraine will visit several countries of Europe and Scandinavia.
The senior pastor of the association of evangelical churches of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Bishop Yuriy Veremiy, said that from July 23 to August 2 he together with the pastor Omelyan Hrytsiak visited Berlin, Ramstein, and Paris. They preached and held personal consultations.
“People who go to live or work in the European countries are usually people who know what they want to achieve in life. But among them are few experienced ministers. And this, of course, has an impact on the churches. Most believers there attend meetings once a week, and the rest of the time are busy working,” said Yuriy Veremiy. “Nevertheless, they want to develop and ask for help in designing and printing information materials for evangelization, and if it is possible to send experienced ministers.”
The church in Paris has about 80 members. The Ukrainian community is located at the center of the famous evangelical center called Evidence, which has about a dozen international departments.
“In mid-September we along with a group of evangelists and preachers of the brotherhood plan to take another a trip,” said Yuriy Veremiy. “In addition to Germany and France, we will visit churches in Norway, Spain, and Italy. By the way, in the latter two countries, the Christians are very active in evangelization: every month in the local churches in Rome we distribute a thousand or even two thousand copies of the newspaper “Viruyu," in Spain (Madrid, Malaga, etc.) we distribute thousands of newspapers. That is not surprising: in European capitals live tens of thousands of our countrymen who went there seek a better life. And many of them found what they were looking for, when they gave their lives into the hands of Jesus Christ.”
