Pilgrimage to Zarvanytsia Held

On June 19 over 200 workers of the agro-industrial complex of the Ternopil Oblast took part in the annual professional pilgrimage to Maria’s Spiritual Center in Zarvanytsia.

On June 19 over 200 workers of the agro-industrial complex of the Ternopil Oblast took part in the annual professional pilgrimage to Maria’s Spiritual Center in Zarvanytsia. The head of the main administration of the agro-industrial development of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration Mr. Andrii Khoma joined the pilgrimage.

As reported the Inforamtion Department of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), on behalf of Bishop Vasyl Semeniuk of the Ternopil-Zboriv Eparchy, Fr. Andrii Romankiv greeted the pilgrims. The dean of Zarvanytsia Fr. Volodymyr Toporovskyi blessed the pilgrims with the relics of the saints. The pilgrims arrived with an icon of the Mother of God of Zarvanytsia and their banner to show their gratitude to the Holy Mother of God.

Fr. Andrii Romankiv gave the pilgrims God’s blessing: "Let God’s grace be with you, strengthen you, let the merciful Lord for your sacrifice and work for the Ukrainian people reward you with a good harvest." After the Road of the Cross, Fr. Andrii Shalai led the pilgrims on an excursion of Zarvanytsia.

The first pilgrimage of the workers of the agrarian complex of the Ternopil region took place in 2007.
