Pope Francis to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister on Saturday

Pope Francis will meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk on Saturday in the Vatican, RISU source informs. He leaves for Rome on Friday, 25th April. PM will also attend the canonization ceremony of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II.

Pope Francis made several calls for peace and dialogue in Ukraine, including his Easter message last Sunday.

The Ukrainian Premier is not the only official visitor scheduled for Saturday. The Pope will also meet with the President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández and former Belgian king and his wife, Alberto II. Francis will also meet with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.

Over 40 world leaders have confirmed attendance on Sunday to the cannonization of the former pontiffs at St Peter’s Square.
