Poroshenko to attend the opening of Metropolitan Sheptytskyy monument in Lviv

On July 29, the monument to Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyy will be opened in Lviv. Chief city architect Yulian Chaplinskyy told this to tvoemisto.tv.

He said it was planned that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko would arrive in Lviv on this occasion.

The monument to Andrey Sheptytskyy will be opened on the occasion of the 150th birthday anniversary of the Metropolitan. The reconstruction of the square in front of St. George's Cathedral, which stirred the debate, has been postponed so far.

As previously reported, the Vatican renowned Metropolitan Sheptytsky as venerable. Andrey Sheptytskyy will be paid tribute in Lviv throughout the year.
