The process of development of the new Orthodox Church of Ukraine is now underway, and the Government expresses readiness to contribute fully to that within its capabilities and powers.This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with Metropolitan Epiphanius, Head of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the transfer for use the premises in the center of the capital to the Church. According to the plan, it will become an administrative building. The decision was passed today, July 17, during the Government's sitting.
"The Orthodox Church of Ukraine now has an opportunity to prolong its activities - not only in temples but also in an administrative building. The process of becoming the Church is now underway, and the Government has decided to transfer the premises", said Volodymyr Groysman. "On the part of the State, we must prolong our support."
In turn, Metropolitan Epiphanius noted that the decision of the Government is indeed landmark for the OCU. "This testifies that you are a man of your word. We have a long partnership between the State and the Church. A lot of good deeds have been done recently. You always respond when we seek help. You solve those problems that face not only our Church but our State as whole", said the Head of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
