The state must always maintain dialogue with the Church, forming a common vision of the future. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said this today, on February 1, at a meeting with the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Svyatoslav (Shevchuk), the Government portal has reported.

"Our common task now is to develop the state and spirituality because faith is the foundation on which prosperity and well-being can be built, and I strongly believe that this can be done through dialogue,” the head of government said.

According to him, meetings of representatives of state power and clergy help determine common steps for the development of the country, better understand the current tasks and the future of cooperation.

The Primate of the UGCC, in turn, stressed the importance of building partnerships with state institutions. In this endeavor, every dialogue and meeting is “an opportunity to serve the common good of our people and our state,” he added.
