Building a strong state is possible only through the preservation of national culture, support for family values and spirituality. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman was reported as saying this during a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, the official website of the Cabinet reports.

“Thank you for the good level of dialogue. It is extremely important that we understand what challenges we face. Promoting spirituality and faith is our important mission,” said Volodymyr Groisman. “Spirituality is the foundation and basis of the state. We will always do everything for spirituality to be strengthened so that the road to the temple is free. Today we will approve the new agenda and formulate issues that need discussion.”

Patriarch Filaret thanked the Head of Government for the support of the Church and religious organizations in Ukraine.

“We feel the government's support of the church and religious organizations in Ukraine. It is very important for us. I also want to extend my gratitude to you for your position in strengthening the family values in Ukraine. If there are no families, there will be no nation, and there will be no state,” the primate of the UOC-KP reiterated.
