Protestant Conference "Theological Education-10" Launched in Irpin

On 24 October, in the town of Irpin of Kyiv Region, a conference on theological education of Protestant Churches in the post-Soviet countries began. The Euro-Asian Accreditation Association is to discuss the results of the 14 years of its work at the event.

For five days, rectors, deans, teachers of the spiritual educational institutions of Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Belarus and other CIS countries will present the work in their schools, discuss specificities of the law in the field of education, share their experience in solving problems in the conditions of the restricted religious freedom, discuss the strategy of development of the theological education for the next five years.

The conference program will also include re-election of the leadership of the association, presentation of educational-consultative centers, research programs, reports on projects.

Traditionally, such conferences are held once per two years in one of the countries where Bible institutes, members of the association are located. According to the organizers, the purpose of this year’s conference is coordination of efforts of theological educational institutions in Eurasia to use the restricted resources more effectively in order to train better ministers for churches.

Approximately, 120 representatives of over 30 institutions from 11 countries participate in the event.

The Euro Asian Accreditation Association is part of the family of regional agencies embracing evangelical educational institutions all over the world. All of them are part of the International Council For Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE).

The main objective of the association is to help educational institutions in Eurasia to reach international standards and confirm their academic and spiritual level by appropriate accreditation.
