The Diocese of Zaporizhia of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate changed and shortened the route of the procession of the procession, scheduled for February 25.

This is reported by the portal Depo.Zaporizhzhya with reference to the press service of the diocese.

The procession will not cross the center of Zaporizhzia, but will be limited to a location from St. Andrew's Cathedral on Motobudivnyky Avenue, to the Holy Virgin Cathedral on 37 Soborna Avenue. Thus, the clergymen not only changed the route, but also reduced it by almost three times.

It should be noted that the announcement of the procession against the backdrop of recent scandals involving the diocese of the UOC-MP caused outrage in the towns. They called it a provocation and called on the authorities to intervene and find a compromise regarding the venue. The mayor of Zaporizhzhia has noted that there are no legitimate rules to ban the procession, but advised the clergymen of the UOC-MP to choose another route.
