In Kyiv, Rabbi Moshe Reuven Azman met with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny and presented him with Jewish national bread, matzah.

This is reported by JewishNews.

Moreover, the donation was shmura matzah, handmade according to an ancient Jewish recipe.

Shmura matzah is an attribute of the celebration of Passover — one of the greatest Jewish holidays, which this year will be celebrated from the evening of April 5 (Wednesday) to the night of April 13 (Thursday).

Rabbi Azman emphasized that Passover is a holiday of Liberation.

Earlier, JewishNews reported that Rabbi Azman congratulated General Zaluzhny on Hanukkah and presented him with a Hanukkah, a symbol of victory and miracle, as well as on the holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, giving him a shofar and blessing General Zaluzhny and, in his person, the entire Ukrainian army for victory in resisting Russian aggression.
