Representatives of Churches announced their readiness to participate in peace-making process in Ukraine

The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations declared its readiness to in the process of achieving peace in Ukraine and urged the faithful to intensify their prayers in this difficult time for our homeland. It is stated in the address signed by the Council’s chairman metropolitan Onufriy of Chernivtsi and Bukovina, Locum Tenens of the UOC-MP.

The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations declared its readiness to   in the process of achieving peace in Ukraine and urged the faithful to intensify their prayers in this difficult time for our homeland. It is stated in the address signed by the Council’s chairman metropolitan Onufriy of Chernivtsi and Bukovina, Locum Tenens of the UOC-MP.

“Reaffirming its position on a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations supports the initiative of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko that he expressed on June 25 to involve churches and religious organizations to facilitate the implementation of his peace plan.

The council’s members are willing to make their strong contribution in the process of achieving peace in our country. We urge our faithful to intensify prayers in this difficult time for our homeland, especially when a glimmer of hope for peace and tranquility in Ukraine appears”, so goes the statement posted on the UOC-MP official website.
