According to the information of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Lviv Oblast, a 25-year-old local man has been arrested as a suspect in the matter. The cost of the stolen sheet copper is UAH 4,000 .

The synagogue in Zhovkva is a monument of architecture, history and culture and one of the largest in Europe. It was built in the 17th century in renaissance style and was part of the city's fortification system.
