Metropolitan Jonathan (Yeleckykh) of Tulchyn and Bratslav, who was convicted in Ukraine for justifying, recognizing as legitimate, and denying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, could become the new Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church instead of Onufriy (Berezovsky).
According to the Telegram channel "Christians Against War", this is the opinion of propagandist Sergei Markov.
"Jonathan arrived in Moscow. He was embraced by Patriarch Kirill," Markov said, "Jonathan is a bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He had been arrested and sentenced to 5 years in prison. He was released on Trinity Day at the request of the Pope, who was asked to do so by Patriarch Kirill. Jonathan, who became a symbol of the fight against the satanic Zelensky regime, could become the head of the revived Orthodox Church in Ukraine. The leadership of the UOC is being hounded and politically repressed, but no one is defending them, having chosen to follow the satanic regime and glorify the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Jonathan refused to do so and was sent to prison. Now, he has been released."
