The announcer of Russia-1 TV channel and CEO of Russia's Spas TV channel Borys Korchevnikov, who is included in the Peacemaker database, came to Kyiv and stated that he was raising money for the restoration of the church of Agapit Pechersky and Luke of the Crimean UOC MP.

The announcer of Russia-1 TV channel and CEO of Russia's Spas TV channel Borys Korchevnikov, who is included in the Peacemaker database, came to Kyiv and stated that he was raising money for the restoration of the church of Agapit Pechersky and Luke of the Crimean UOC-MP.

He posted a video with the appeal on his Instagram page, UNN reports.

“... what I want to say about this building here: it is a hospital albeit an old one. Once upon a time, our kings resided here. Then, during the Soviet years, it became desolate. Today, this building returns to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and we want a monastery hospital to be here again along with St. Agapit the Doctor Church,” Korchevnikov stated in his address.

On his social media page, he provided credit card details and urged the users to contribute "to the restoration of the hospital and St. Agapit Church."

While commenting the Russian propagandist's border crossing for the UA: Crimea, the spokeswoman for the Security Service of Ukraine, Olena Hitlyanskaya said that Boris Korchevnikov probably wasn’t banned from entering Ukraine.

“There are thousands of them, hundreds of them. You simply cannot keep track of everyone. That is why we always ask journalists to help us and to be vigilant. If you had called us before he did it (crossed the border – edit.), we would have considered his case and forbidden him to enter in advance,” said Hitlianska.
