Hitler blamed Jews for everything. Putin does the same with Ukrainians.
The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine said this in an interview with the Telegraph.
“Russian propaganda is like that of the Nazis. I think if you look at the narratives of Nazi propaganda, they are practically copied [from Nazi Germany]. They “get up from their knees,” they are mistreated by everyone... I looked up the definitions of “Nazism” and “fascism”, and it was the same: everyone mistreats us. The Germans in Czechoslovakia and Poland are asking to be “saved”. It's the same here.
Russians decide who is a fascist and who is not. They gave themselves this right by saying they were the winners of World War II. Although the Americans were victorious, and the British and many other nations were victorious: Ukrainians, Jews, Tatars. Yet, for some reason, Russian propaganda decided that only Russians were the victors and that they could say who was a fascist and who was not. And if they say that someone is a fascist, it means they depersonalize that person. You can kill a fascist, you can run them and their family over by a tank. They already say that not only Ukrainians are fascists, but Europeans and Americans, too. The list goes on and on because they decide for themselves who to call fascists. I saw that this was a very dangerous precedent and decided that we had to fight against this evil.
The German Nazis persecuted Jews, and it was beyond comprehension. They hated them simply because they were Jews, without any logic. And Russians (not all of them, but those who are influenced by propaganda) also hate Ukrainians. There, the Jews were to blame for everything, and here, Ukrainians are.
The fact that Ukraine has a Jewish president was a bone in their [Russians] throat. We saw Lavrov go as far as to try and point out that Hitler had Jewish blood. That is, they were trying to build some kind of foundation. Then they were rebuffed from all over the world, even by Russian Jews.
And why do they do this? They are trying to use all the means, all the lies, all the old historical techniques,” said Rabbi Moshe Reuven Azman.
