SBU urges Ukrainians to be vigilant during the Easter holidays

30.04.2021, 10:13

On the eve of the Easter and may holidays, the Security Service of Ukraine calls on citizens to be especially vigilant in matters of their own and public safety.

"After all, every year during this period, Russian propaganda, information stuffing and fakes traditionally increase, and the probability of sabotage to destabilize the situation in our country increases," the SBU said in a statement on its Facebook page.

The SBU, as always, systematically counteracts these manifestations. At the same time, during such a period, vigilance and a conscious attitude to security on the part of every citizen are necessary.

"Therefore, the SBU reminds about the round-the-clock hotline 0 800 501 482.

You need to call it if you:
• have got information about the intentions of carrying out terrorist, sabotage activities or other illegal actions;
• have noticed suspicious persons who show increased interest in military facilities, government buildings, critical infrastructure and places of mass stay of people;
• have noticed suspicious vehicles or unmanned aerial vehicles near strategic objects;
• have found suspicious objects or weapons of destruction in public places.

The information received through the SBU helpline is confidential and will be thoroughly checked."
