Separate cemetery for Muslims to appear in Lviv

Officials allocated the land plot for burial of the deceased according to the rules and traditions of the Muslim religion in section No.37 of Holoskivsky cemetery of a total area of ​​0.35 hectares.

On December 23, the executive committee of Lviv City Council adopted a decision on the allocation of land at Holoskivsky cemetery in Lviv for the burial ceremonies according to Muslim traditions.


Officials allocated the land plot for burial of the deceased according to the rules and traditions of the Muslim religion in section No.37 of Holoskivsky cemetery of a total area of ​​0.35 hectares.


As stated in the draft decision, the Executive Committee passed the decision in response to the appeal by heads of Muslim communities in Lviv and NGO “Community of Crimean Tatars.”


The services related to burial on the designated site, will be provided in accordance with the laws of Ukraine. Director of Lviv Communal Enterprise "Production and Restoration Works for ritual services" will be in charge for providing services, Zaxid.net reported.
