UN Security Council to address shelling of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on Monday

The UN Security Council will convene on Monday for an emergency meeting to discuss the latest shelling of Ukraine, particularly the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

This was reported by the UN Security Council Secretariat, according to Ukrinform.

In the past week, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and several other cities have faced intense attacks, leading to civilian casualties and significant damage to residential buildings and historical landmarks. This includes the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (10:00 p.m. Kyiv time).
