During his working visit to Georgia, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

Religious scholar Andriy Yurash wrote about it on his Facebook page.

"Among the variety of meetings that Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held in Georgia, a special place is occupied by a conversation with His Beatitude Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II," he wrote.

According to him, the Primate of the Georgian Church and the Head of the Ukrainian government exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the agenda.

"There is no doubt that today's meeting at the Patriarchate of Georgia will take its proper and important place in the system of relations that have developed between Ukraine and Georgia today," said Andriy Yurash.
