State Authorities Ensure Proper Organization of Patriarch Kirill’s Visit to Ukraine
KYIV — Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko held a meeting on ensuring the organization of the visit of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow to Ukraine. The official expressed confidence that the head of the Russian Orthodox Church will be duly received.
First National Channel and Channel Inter are to provide coverage for the visit. It is expected that the events in Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa will be broadcasted live by the First National Channel and the events in Kyiv by the National TV Channel of Ukraine and Channel Inter.
According to the press service of Semynozhenko, the program of the visit of Patriarch of Moscow includes a visit to the Cathedral of the Holy Assumption of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate in Odesa, a liturgy in the Transfiguration of the Savior Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate in Dnipropetrovsk, and a liturgy at the Kyiv Cave Monastery and a public prayer on Volodymyr’s Mount.
Patriarch Kirill will stay in Ukraine from July 20 to 28.
