Synagogue in Ivano-Frankivsk will be renovated for grant money. One hundred eighty thousand euros were won for the implementation of the project "research and preservation of Jewish cultural heritage in the border area".
This was reported to "Suspilne Karpaty" by the Head of the Investment Policy Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Ihor Popadyuk.
The project provides for the repair of drainage, installation of outdoor lighting, marking of houses where famous Jewish figures lived, and the creation of a tourist route.
The project will be financed under the HUSKROUA 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program.
"We will see how quickly we will be able to produce project documentation. This is still an architectural monument, where appropriate additional documentation is needed. We'll see if we have time this year or next," Igor Popadyuk said.
According to him, in general, the investment policy department attracted UAH 87 million for the implementation of projects.
