The Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), which was held yesterday, May 8, under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Volodymyr, cancelled its previous decisions made with respect to the leadership of the church.
According to the website of UOC-MP, the synod also terminated a number of resolutions of December 23, 2011, (Journal 74-75), which envisaged collegial government of the Kyiv Eparchy during the Primate’s sickness, and the resolution to set up an auditing committee led by the Superior of the Kyiv Cave Monastery Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl to check the financial and economic activity of the Kyiv Metropolitanate.
The Synod also cancelled its earlier decision to grant Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl the right to govern the Kyiv Eparchy on a temporary basis.
