The Council of Churches has put forward three demands to the authorities regarding the vaccination initiated

On the day of the start of vaccination in Ukraine on February 24, the All-Ukraine Council of Churches and Religious Organizations issued a statement regarding the process of vaccination against COVID-19 in Ukraine.

The statement reads:

1. The competent state authorities must, first of all, ensure voluntary participation in the issue of vaccination and not create conditions of open or hidden coercion, thereby violating natural human rights. Nothing, not even a pandemic, can become a basis for the introduction of totalitarian control over a person.

2. The vaccine should be available to people who need help, especially those who are impoverished due to the economic downturn due to the pandemic. You should also think about those who are ready to buy a vaccine and get vaccinated without delay but cannot do so because their turn for free vaccination is still far away.

3. Medical products should be tested for effectiveness and safety.
