The head of the UGCC: A nation where millions pray has a bright future

If millions of people pray, then there is no need to worry about the future of such a nation.

This was stated by the Head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav, in his video address on the 64th week of the full-scale war, the Information Department of the UGCC reports.

The Patriarch of the UGCC noted that every day at 20:00 Kyiv time, we must put aside everything, stop and stand for prayer.

"If you are on the road, at the front, in a bomb shelter, pray at least the Our Father and the Holy Virgin. And if you have the opportunity, join the online rosary that unites," he said.

"Today, we must all remember that, unfortunately, the war continues... We must gather all our strength - spiritual, psychological, physical - in order to continue our lives and our struggle for the freedom of our people. We have no right to live as if there was no war," said the hierarch.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav appealed to our brothers and sisters in the world and noted that the need to heal the wounds of war, feed the hungry, and accept refugees is not diminishing, but rather increasing.

"Today, I would like to thank all those kind people from all over the world who help to continue to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and heal the wounds of this war... Last year, through the Wise Cause solidarity network alone, we fed a large number of people and prepared more than 100,000 food packages. I am grateful to all our benefactors, but I ask you: do not forget and do not reduce your prayer, work and sacrifice, because, unfortunately, the war continues," the Primate emphasized.

According to the Head of the UGCC, fasting and prayer are the power that moves us forward.

"Every day of the week, one of our dioceses or exarchates takes over the baton of fasting and prayer. Do not abandon this spiritual struggle, this spiritual feat for the victory over evil," the patriarch called.
