On May 31, the Head of the UGCC (Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church), Sviatoslav, presented his new book at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv. The discussion revolved around the Ukrainian translation of the book "Tell Me the Truth. Dialogues about the Meaning of Life."
This was reported by "Your City" (Tvoye Misto) news outlet.
"I believe that this book will be crucial in many moments when Vatican diplomacy seeks to help Ukraine in these challenging circumstances of our struggle for dignity, freedom, and independence," His Beatitude stated.
In this book, thinkers engage in conversations and reflections on universal meanings and the essence of love. Additionally, they compare the Eastern and Western Christian worlds. This dialogue between two religious philosophers rests on three fundamental virtues: faith, hope, and love.
"We talked about truth and the difficulty of speaking the truth in the world of post-truth," explains Sviatoslav.
He also mentions that they spent an entire week together with Professor Paolo Asolana from the Pontifical Lateran University, from Easter to Thomas Sunday, discussing the entire book at the residence of the Head of the UGCC.
