The Kremlin allocates millions to the ROC for russification of Ukrainians in the occupied territories, - Head of the Presidential Grants Fund

The Russian Orthodox Church and the "writer“ Zakhar Prilepin received the largest grant allocated in the Russian Federation for ”helping the Donbas". The amount in question reaches almost RUR 115 million.

The head of the Presidential Grants Fund, Ilya Chukalin, said it in a comment to Vidomosti.

It is noted that a total of two billion rubles of grants were allocated, which should be received by 493 non-profit organizations.

The largest amounts were received by structures subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church and projects of the co-chairman of the "Fair Russia For Truth" party Zakhar Prilepin.

Grants were distributed as follows:

o the initiative of "comprehensive medical and social assistance to residents of Donbas and Ukraine”, which was offered by the Central Clinical Hospital of St. Alexius the Metropolitan of Moscow – RUR 49.8 million;
o Project "Church Aid to Refugees” of the Department for Church Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church – RUR 27.4 million;
o "Humanitarian convoy Zakhar Prilepin" to send humanitarian aid to residents of the ”LDNR " – RUR 22.8 million;
o "Stronghold of Donbas”, which was allegedly meant to help residents of Izyum – RUR 14.9 million.
