A representative of the Office approached members of the Holy Synod of the UOC-MP during their visit to the President's Office today to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky at 13:30. The Information and Educational Department of the UOC-MP reported that the representative offered to deliver the Church's appeal to the President.

This is reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC MP.

Metropolitan Onufriy expressed his hope that the hierarchs would have the opportunity to deliver the appeal to Zelensky in person during a private meeting.

Later, it was reported that the President of Ukraine had refused to meet with the leadership of the UOC-MP. It was noted that Volodymyr Zelensky did not have plans to engage with the clergy of this denomination on that day.

The UOC-MP delegation was welcomed by officials from the relevant departments of the Presidential Office to receive, register, and forward the appeal for further consideration. However, representatives of the UOC-MP have thus far declined to submit the appeal.

On March 20, the Holy Synod of the UOC-MP began its session in Kyiv, and later its members visited the Office of the President of Ukraine to convey the position of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate to the state leadership.

As reported, the Moscow church monks are obligated to vacate the Lavra entirely by March 29th.
