President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in a prayer event on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood and the Day of Baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine.

The event took place on the square in front of the Holy Dormition Cathedral on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv. It was attended by the heads of Ukrainian churches and religious organizations, chaplains, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers, the Head of the Presidential Office and his deputies, the command of the Security and Defense Forces, and foreign diplomats.
The holy fathers prayed for victory and a just peace for Ukraine, as well as for protection and blessings for the Ukrainian people and our warriors.
