The third session of Lviv Archeparchy's Synod held on St Georges Hill

On January 30, the third session of the Synod of Bishops of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC was held on St Georges Hill in Lviv.

This is reported by the UGCC Information Department.

The main topic of the Synod was the issue of reforming the liturgical calendar. Its participants also considered issues of a canonical, pastoral and liturgical nature.

All the bishops of the Lviv Archeparchy participated in the Synod: Archbishop and Metropolitan Ihor Vozniak of Lviv, Bishop Mykhailo Koltun of Sokal-Zhovkva, Bishop Yaroslav Pryriz of Sambir-Drohobych, Bishop Taras Senkiv of Stryi, Auxiliary Bishop Bohdan Manyshyn of Stryi, Auxiliary Bishop Hryhoriy Komarof Sambir-Drohobych, Auxiliary Bishop Volodymyr Hrutsa of Lviv Archeparchy, Auxiliary Bishop Petro Loza of Sokal-Zhovkva.

Reports and developments on the issues that were on the agenda were made and presented by Fr. Serhiy Stesenko, Fr Vasyl Popelyasty, Fr Oleg Korda and Fr Ostap Savruk.
