The UGCC leader called for donations to support the creation of the Holodomor Museum
His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Head of the UGCC, called for this in his video address during the presentation of the "Grains of Truth" project dedicated to the Holodomor Remembrance Day.
"I appeal to all the faithful of our Church in Ukraine and in the settlements, to all Ukrainians and people of good will to join with your donations in the construction of the Holodomor Memorial in Kyiv. Your donations will indeed be able to complete this important work of perpetuating the memory for the victims of this tragedy. I appeal to the faithful, as well as to the parishes and eparchies of our Church: please become participants in this holy cause! ” - called the Father and the Head of the UGCC.
“Let the seeds of truth sprout! May the memory about the victims of the Holodomor become a living legacy of our nation for the future generations," concluded the Head of the Church.
It should be added that the event was attended by Ivan Vasiunyk, Stepan Kubiv, singers Halia and Lesia Telniuk, journalist Vitaliy Portnikov, theater and film actress Irma Vitovska, public figure Svitlana Melnyk, vice president of the World Congress of Ukrainians Olena Kosharna, co-founder and board member of SoftServe Taras Kitsmey, owner of the Kyiv chain of coffee shops “Veterano Coffee” Volodymyr Shevchenko, and writer Oksana Zabuzhko.
