The U.S. State Department says that Moscow is not capable of constructive dialogue. Aggressor Russia responds to Ukraine's calls to end the war with new attacks.

This is how State Department spokesman Ned Price responded to the Kremlin's refusal to Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal to withdraw enemy troops before Christmas, reports TSN.

"At every opportunity, Russians respond to Ukraine's call for a just peace with even greater escalation and a clear recognition that Russia is not in the mood for a constructive dialogue," Price said.

The State Department official condemned such actions and the Kremlin's rhetoric. Price stressed that Washington will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine and help it survive through the winter.

"We believe this is the best way to speed up the negotiation process. We are to hold Russia accountable, as well as to provide defense and deterrence capabilities of NATO, and this is a strategy that we are going to continue to move forward," he stressed.

As it was reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Russia to end the war before Christmas. Putin's circle rejected the idea of the Ukrainian leader. The speaker of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov said that the Ukrainian side allegedly "needs to accept the realities that have developed during this time."
