On the Cross Sunday, a religious prayerful procession, traditionally organizes Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC, was held with the support of Lviv City Council.
“We, the Christians are called to follow the ways of God. At this time, we see that our whole nation goes this Way of the Cross. Our Ukraine suffers, as bishops wrote in the letter, “it is bleeding.” So, first let us pray on this Way of the Cross that peace may reign in our land. Nothing is impossible for God. The Lord says “According to your faith be it unto you.” Therefore a let’s awaken an act of faith in the beginning of this Way of the Cross and trust our mother Ukraine to God, asking Him to send peace to our land. Also, let us pray for the famous son,the Moses our people, Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyy. He was the witness of faith. Because we need those toshow the right way, we need a guide,”said Reverend Bishop Benedict (Aleksiychuk) at the beginning of the procession.
Participating in a joint prayer were clergymen of Lviv Archdiocese, monastics, students of Lviv Theological Seminary of the Holy Ghost and the Ukrainian Catholic University, the authorities of the city and region, rectors and students of Lviv universities.
