Today is the World Day of Prayer and Fasting for Ukraine
"It will be the seventh day of the war. That is why we decided to hold a prayer marathon for seven hours and unite seven places of Ukraine," the organizers of the telethon say.
The chain of living prayer will connect Kharkiv, Odessa, Hrushiv, Zarvanytsia, Goshiv, Univ and Kyiv. During the day, prayers, akathist hymns, and rosary prayers will be broadcast from these places. Between online broadcasts of services, the bishops of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC Bishops in Ukraine will address the worshipers.
The all-day vigil of the UGCC will end with a traditional rosary prayer at 8 pm led by His Beatitude Sviatoslav and the spiritual anthem of Ukraine "God Great One".
"I urge all the daughters of our Church in Ukraine and the settlements to prepare for this day and spend it in fasting and prayer," said His Beatitude Sviatoslav in his video address.
The head of the UGCC asked us to pray both for peace in Ukraine and for our enemies, for their conversion, for the conversion of Russia, as the Mother of God of Fatima asked us.
