There will be no traditional cross procession this year due to the pandemic

This year, the procession to the 1032nd anniversary of the baptism of Kyivan Rus will not take place.

This was announced on Facebook by the Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko, Religiyna Pravda reports.

“The OCU and UOC decided against holding a religious procession. In both churches, the celebrations will be held in compliance with the requirements of quarantine,” the Minister said.

Tkachenko expressed gratitude to the Primates of the Churches for "responsible attitude to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and setting the protection of people's health as a priority".
