The synagogue, constructed in 1705, is located in Tyachiv region. The last century significantly and negatively influenced the fate of the shrine. However, the community of Vilkhivtsi intends to give the building a new life. This is reported by "Jewish News".

Press Secretary of the Vilkhivtsi OTG Emilia Krychfalushiy said that at the moment work was underway to collect information about Jewish life in this area, the contacts with Jewish representatives from other countries and those who lived in these places were being established.

In the early summer of 2019, representatives of the Jewish community from different countries visited the synagogue in Vilkhivtsi as part of a scientific conference.

In pre-war times, every fifth person in Vilkhivtsi was a Jew and about 200 Jews from neighboring villages came to pray in this synagogue.

In 1944, a mill was installed in this building, and over the past century, the synagogue had reached a state of disrepair.
