UAOC supported the establishment of Constantinople’s commission for granting autocephaly to Orthodox Church in Ukraine
On August 3, 2016, under the chairmanship Makariy Maletych, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a regular meeting of the Bishops of UAOC was held on the premises of the Kyiv Patriarchate. During the meeting, the Council reviewed and discussed the following items of the agenda: On support of the decision of the Synod of the Church of Constantinople to establish a commission to study the issue of granting autocephaly to the Orthodox Church in Ukraine. On the Cathedral of St. Andrew the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Kyiv. On celebration of the 95th anniversary of the All-Ukrainian Orthodox Council of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (14 - 30 October 1921, Kyiv).
