Within the special project “People of the Year”, the editorial of Novoye Vremya (New Time) magazine conferred on UCU President Borys Gudziak the “Novoye Vremya People 2015" award for the establishment of Ukrainian university according to European standards.
According to chief editor Vitali Sych, nominees of the special project "People of the Year" are personalities with a plus sign. “In order to clearly define who these people are, we call them the ones who set new standards in different spheres of Ukraine. It so happened that this concept is consonant with the name of our publication, so we called them the People of Modern Time. For many, the year of 2015 was a challenging year. By this project we want to show that we noticed the efforts and actions of these individuals and appreciated them. And now we want the others people to appreciate them,” he said.
The 25 nominees for the project included people from different areas of activity - businessmen, public figures, artists, politicians, journalists, lawyers.
