The image of the Heavenly Hundred is in the conscience of the millions who remain on earth: Who will assume responsibility for the new national tragedy? Official investigations are not enough; a national, if not international, tribunal is needed.

The image of the Heavenly Hundred is in the conscience of the millions who remain on earth: Who will assume responsibility for the new national tragedy? Official investigations are not enough; a national, if not international, tribunal is needed. Not only to draw a line under the past, but also to prevent a repetition of the horrors in the future, reads a statement dating February 24 to the UCU community and Ukrainian citizens from the administration of the Ukrainian Catholic University.

“The dictator has been overthrown. The authorities’ madness has been stopped. The worst case scenario of complete loss of independence was averted with the help of God. We gained what some of us had already started to lose hope in. A week ago, this news would have brought us tremendous joy. But today this evident joy is dimmed by the pain from the loss suffered and by the uncertainty about the future,” reads the statement.

UCU calls for prayers for the wounds to heal and for the souls to be appeased. And the first balm for this is establishing truth and justice. It opens people's hearts to the voice of God.

“Ukraine has confirmed its place in European civilization. Therefore, the Association Agreement with the EU will no longer be an advance, but a confirmation of a fait accompli,” reads the statement.
