UGCC and doctors to promote the diagnosis of cancer in women

The guests talked about the idea of bringing the clergy of the Lviv region to the process of popularization of cancer prevention. Discussion was held with the participation of the President of the Ukrainian Medical Society in Lviv Oleg Duda, Chairman of the Commission for Health and Pastoral Care of the Lviv Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Fr Mykola Bilyak, representatives of the Charitable Foundation "Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Hospital of the Curia of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC" Fr Andriy Login,  representative of the charitable organization "Maltese Aid Service in Lviv" Bogdan Tsiuvanik, representatives of Charity Fund "Medical Mission” Igor Veretsky and Henrik-Piotr Blashchyk, Chairman of the Board of the Charity Fund “With an Angel on my Shoulder”, representatives of Lviv branch of the club of successful women “Women of Ukraine” Iryna Plakhtiy and Yulia Kotyk.

According to the participants of the working group, today the Church enjoys a high level of public trust, and therefore it is the clergy who can help convince women to undergo a survey to make sure of their own health.

Bishop Volodymyr supported this initiative and noted that the Church will do everything in its power to promote the diagnosis of cancer in women.
