"I very much ask you to understand that on Palm Sunday and Easter we will not all be able to be together in the temple. We will unite in prayer through broadcast. And those who come will have to pray outside in the courtyard near the cathedral. Only the clergy and those who help to perform the worship will be able to get to the temple,” said His Beatitude Sviatoslav.

At the same time, the Head of the UGCC called on those who will be present outside to maintain a social distance and to comply with other prescriptions of the authorities regarding sanitary standards.

“But there will be Easter joy! The risen Christ will come to us. These are temporary circumstances that we, together, must consciously experience. The day will come when we will all return to our temples and the Church community will in a visible way glorify the Lord God,” assured the Head of the UGCC.
