Ukrainian Catholic University Has New Rector and President

Today, during the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of UCU and the opening of the innovative academic building, the Great Chancellor of UCU, Patriach Sviatoslav Shechuk, by decree appointed Bishop Borys Gudziak as president of the Ukrainian Catholic University,

Today, during the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) and the opening of the innovative academic building, the Great Chancellor of UCU, Patriach Sviatoslav Shechuk, by decree appointed Bishop Borys Gudziak as president of the Ukrainian Catholic University, with all the rights and responsibilities of government.

In another decree, the Grand Chancellor appointed Fr. Dr. Bohdan Prakh as the Rector of UCU: “Before you is a great amount of work – feel confident that we are with you – I as the Chancellor, and Bishop Borys as the president.”

After the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, Patriarch Shevchuk, bishops, and priests consecrated the cornerstone of the University’s Church of St. Sophia and the new academic building.
