Ukrainian Delegation Attends Ecumenical Church Convention in Germany

From May 12 to 16, 2010, in Munich, an Ecumenical Church Convention was held, which was attended by a delegation from Kharkiv led by Bishop Marian Buchek of the Kharkiv-Zaporizhia Eparchy of the Roman Catholic Church.

 

GERMANYFrom May 12 to 16, 2010, in Munich, an Ecumenical Church Convention was held, which was attended by a delegation from the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv led by Bishop Marian Buchek of the Kharkiv-Zaporizhia Eparchy of the Roman Catholic Church.

According to the Catholic magazine Credo, the delegation included representatives of the Kharkiv parish of the Evangelical Church and the Roman Catholics. For four days ecumenical prayers, discussions, concerts, and meetings were conducted in order to bring Christian denominations closer.

The discussion was attended by such German politicians as President Keller, Chancellor Angela Merkel, and many others.

The First Ecumenical Church Convention of Germany was held in Berlin in 2003.
