On October 29, believers of the Ukrainian Church of Evangelical Christians held a large-scale prayer meeting on Castle Square in Warsaw. Almost two thousand people took part in the event - the vast majority of those present were displaced persons from Ukraine and residents of the capital of Poland.

This is reported by the website of the Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith.

The prayer meeting was served by about 200 volunteers. During the event, congratulations and a call to prayer were heard from the stage in both Polish and Ukrainian.

"Thank you to everyone who came to the city center today to do two important things. Thank the people of Poland who opened their hearts to welcome millions of Ukrainians to their homes. And also to pray for the people of Poland and for the victory of Ukraine in this war," said Mykhailo Panochko, the senior bishop of the Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith.

On behalf of the Ukrainian people, he sincerely thanked Polish President Andrzej Duda, prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Sejm Marshal Elzbieta Vitek. He also called for raising his voice in prayer for President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, prime minister Denys Shmyhal and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"і and Call Me in the day of trouble, I will save you, but you will glorify me!" (Psalm 49:14-15)

The senior bishop of the Mykhailo Panochko noted that the Bible advises all people to turn to the Lord. "God cannot answer those who do not call upon him, do not trust him, and do not come to him. But I know that he hears our prayer," the senior bishop stressed.

In prayer for the volunteers, who often show miracles of heroism in war conditions, the audience was led by Bishop Volodymyr Brychka from the Rivne region. Pastors Mykola Klimchuk, Michal Sichek and Oleksandr Demyanenko also preached a sermon to prayer.

Advisor to the ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vitaliy Bily, conveyed congratulations from Ambassador Vasyl Zvarych and thanked everyone who came to pray for Ukraine and Poland.

The prayer atmosphere was supported by the Lutsk Church "Salvation" group, the Denisyuk singing family and the group "Levit".

A certain surprise was that each of the participants of the holiday had the opportunity to taste fragrant pilaf (feeding two thousand people is not an easy task). There were also numerous children's locations: kids participated in contests, and received prizes and gifts.
