Ukrainian Muslim organizations called Ukrainians to take active part in the local elections. The information department Alraid published an address to the Ukrainian Muslims on occasion of the elections to be held on Oct. 31.
The Muslim organizations of Ukraine remind that these elections to a considerable extent will determine the future of the whole Ukrainian society, of which Muslims are an integral part.
"We call the Muslims of Ukraine to be responsible, hold an active civic position and participate in the elections. Do not stay aside but elect to the local government worthy fellow citizens who will protect our interests and the future of our state. We address all the candidates and political forces running in the elections. We want Ukraine to be a strong, independent, and prosperous country where the freedom of conscience and confession will be one of the main values. We hope that all rights and spiritual values will be protected at all levels of the power," reads the address.
